THE SUPPSHOT™

Is it like a dispensing cap?

No, the SuppShot™ is NOT a dispensing cap. It does seal its contents separately from the liquid, but unlike dispensing caps, the SuppShot™ is NOT unique to a certain bottle. No threading. No twisting. No snapping.

Is it reusable?

The SuppShot5 is a single-use device. This is not to say creative users cannot find an alternative purpose for the SuppShot, however. Additional models will be released, which are currently under development, that will incorporate reusable serving methods.

How is it used?

Most males can activate the SuppShot™ using one hand and in two simple steps: 1) The SuppShot's funnel is placed over the bottle of choice and 2) The SuppShot's button is pushed downward with a thumb or other finger(s) to release the contents. Use your free hand to secure the bottle while activating.

Many females, prefer to or need, two hands to activate the SuppShot™. The button is stiff, and WILL require force to activate - this is to insure its contents are released only when you want them to be. Users will find a gentle tap on the body of the SuppShot™ helps dispense the contents. Always be sure to follow the manufacturer's mixing instructions printed on the label of the SuppShot™.

How is it filled?

The SuppShot™ requires a specialized equipment line if an automated process is sought. We have spent a great deal of time, energy and money developing our automated equipment lines - running 50-100 units per minute through the automated line, the SuppShot's economics become equal to, if not better, than pillow-packs and satchels. We can also fill the SuppShot™ manually, at an added cost, for test-markets and large quantities of samples.

What is its internal capacity?

The SuppShot's volume will vary with the density of each product. Typically, the denser and thicker the powder, the less the SuppShot™ can hold. Fill weights in the 20-50 gram range are ideal, but certain products can be filled to the SuppShot's maximum capacity of 70 grams.

Is the SuppShot™ sensitive to flow properties?

Yes, the SuppShot™ dispenses each product differently. The more granulated the product, the better it will flow from the mouth of the funnel. Most products require gentle tapping on the body of the SuppShot™ to insure all of the contents have been dispensed; thicker powders (ie. MRP's) require more, and harder, tapping to properly dispense.

Does the SuppShot™ have layers of tamper-evidence?

Yes, the SuppShot™ always has three layers of tamper evidence: 1) The button - it is visibly and audibly evident when the button has already been activated. 2) The foil-seal: The foil seal will have a large hole in the bottom should the device have already been activated. 3) SuppShots are individually shrink wrapped, covering the funnel orifice to keep out dust and dirt during shipping. All other portions of the SuppShot™ are hermetically sealed and require no further methods of closure.

Can the SuppShot™ activate prematurely?

Yes, like most consumer packaging, there are 'weak-spots' that are susceptible to premature activation. We have done our best to decrease the chances of this happening, but unfortunately, there are too many layers in the supply-chain to give a one hundred percent guarantee that it will not happen.
