Closing Thoughts:
The single-serve category is nothing new, as seen by the comparable products. SupplaServe has taken the position, however, that the SuppShot is the best all around rigid single-serve package. Fact is, the only other rigid single-serve package, the dispensing cap, has such a small volume that it is only suitable for vitamins and flavor enhancers - it would be a challenge to put any mix with a significant caloric content into a dispensing cap.
The SuppShot is NOT a dispensing cap. It is a stand-alone dispenser. This is a key differentiator because 'dispensing caps' are just that, caps. They MUST either thread-on or snap-on to the bottle. This forces the customer to not only purchase the cap but the respective bottle as well.
Our research indicates that customers are moving in a direction of bringing-their-own-bottles. The driver behind this BYOB movement is environmental awareness. Consumers want to re-use what they can, and aluminum or nalgene bottles help them accomplish that.
